The Elephant Sanctuary is home to orphaned African elephants and is situated in the Magaliesberg mountain region, (malaria-free area), just an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Elephants are exercised and stimulated daily, which provides a firm foundation for trust. The sanctuary is a safe-haven for the elephants and offers a platform for guest education and interaction that is unforgettable.

Experienced guides will impart fascinating information that will deepen your understanding of elephants.

Accommodation at The Elephant Sanctuary consists of beautifully appointed Indo-African bedrooms that are vibrantly ethnic. The rooms are directly adjacent to the elephant stables. There's a covered patio and lounge for relaxing and reading, and a secluded swimming pool in the forest a few steps from the lodge. The main deck overlooks the elephant boma and you can observe elephants swimming from the tree deck.

There is also a fully licensed bar and curio shop that boasts interesting elephant memorabilia.
